Bridal and Formalwear Alterations

Joy2Sew SERVICES:

Women’s formalwear: Custom bridal gown alterations, bridesmaids, mother of the bride, prom, event wear, and garment steaming. Please see the gallery below for clients I have had the priviledge of serving.

Menswear– I will only take the following: men’s pant hems, waist let out/in, suit coat sleeve shortening, and button-down sleeve hemming. 

LOCATION:  I perform all alterations out of my sewing studio in Centerville, Ohio at 65 Maple Ave.  All fittings and pick ups are by appointment ONLY. No walk in availability. Fitting appointment requests can be made by texting me at 937-604-6348. I will follow up with you within 48 hours if you send a text or leave a voicemail. 

TURNAROUND TIME:  Bridal gowns are kept for 4-6weeks, and most formalwear items for 2 weeks. Rush services may be available by request for an additional charge, depending on my time availability.

COST: Each area of the dress that needs altered will be a separate charge, and will vary depending on the complexity of your dress or gown. Please see estimate pricing below. At your first fitting, you will receive definite pricing, but will not pay anything until you pick up your dress and are pleased with the excellent service performed. Ranges to be expected are:

Bridesmaids can expect their alteration will vary from $80-250.

Special event (prom, homecoming, balls) will vary from $100-600(+). **Please note that both sequin and shedding glitter dresses will incur an additional charge for alteration.

Bridal gowns will vary on their complexity level typically from $800-1700. Gowns are priced acording to their level of complexity: simple, intermediate, or couture. **Please note that both sequin and shedding glitter gowns will incur an additional charge for alteration.

PAYMENTS ACCEPTED:  I currently only accept CASH, VENMO, PAYPAL and SQUARE (credit card – for an additional fee). No checks. Full payment must be received before dress can be released. Payment plans available upon request.
