There have been some fun baby shower gifts to make recently, as well as a few gifts to give for some friend’s birthdays. So, over the past month, some new treasures were made:
a set of bibs for Baby Liam:
(bib pattern by Lotta Jansdotter, out of her book, Simple Sewing for Baby)
A Dusty the Airplane Backpack for 3 year old Micah:
(Rae’s Toddler Backpack Pattern with Dusty Cotton fabric from Hobby Lobby)

Wall art for baby Malcolm:
(copied idea off a Pinterest board HERE)
And after being inspired by the Captain America sign Val requested, I made and stenciled a few burp cloths and a bib as well. Can you really have too much superhero themed stuff anyways? Love how they came out! Jean material for front, Ikea red bath towel for backing, and Pebeo fabric paint for stenciling.
And because sewing (and packing) is not the only thing being done/made around here:
Foccacia Bread made by Steven:
Eggs Benedict made by Steven:

                                                                  Donuts made by Joy:

I have enjoyed doing these sewing projects lately, alongside packing up my house to move, and playing with my son. You could call it my daily therapy (along with my Bible reading). I am actually pretty sure my sewing machine will be the last thing that gets packed at this point, as I am currently finishing up a few Christmas gifts and finishing the draft of my new Princess Anna costume. I am so excited how that is coming together!!! Can’t wait to share some of it soon with you!
Have a great week!
