Our feet were cold. Hardwood floors are cold. Ohio is cold. How can we keep our feet warm and it be free? Ah, make slippers for him and her! But how? There must be a tutorial on a lovely blog somewhere! Here was my found inspiration…a tutorial by Joanna Armour on cloth baby shoes! Yes, baby shoes. Why not? Our feet are just bigger : ). I was surprised that I had all the supplies already, but so happy to have new slippers for my husband and I. Just terrific!!!! Thanks, a million, Joanna!

Here’s what the tutorial looks like printed out. I just studied how she put the pattern together for babies, traced our feet and enlarged/modified the pattern sizes. I also made sure to change my sewing needle to a #18, so it would go through 4 layers of vinyl, fleece, and cotton. I found the link to Joanna’s blog on one of my favorite blogs to visit, Made By Rae. For the whole month of February she highlighted sewing projects just for boys, and the baby shoes were one of the items. I don’t have any children, but I do have nephews! Such cool stuff!!!!!! I love blog world!!! Thanks so much ladies! I will have to make those dinosaur mittens sometime soon too! Too cute for words!
